Who We Are
Our mission is to help heal and empower female survivors of physical violence and sexual abuse. We provide Outreach, Art, Support, Impact, and Safety for survivors. Through a safe supportive environment, we provide expressive programs, group therapy, community support groups, education awareness, and resources for survivors.
Our programs create a haven for therapeutic release and support from other trauma survivors. Expressive Art Programs and Art Therapy have been proven to reduce symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, C-PTSD, and PTSD in survivors of sexual abuse and violence. Our target populations include underserved women and children in the Grapevine community and surrounding Dallas Fort Worth areas.
1 in 2 women in the United States will experience some form of sexual assault in their lifetime.
1 in 3 women have experienced domestic violence.
1 in 6 women are the victims of rape or attempted rape.
94% of female rape victims experience symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
33% of female rape survivors contemplate suicide.
Sexual trauma can have devastating psychological, emotional, and physical side effects for the survivors and those around them.
How We Help Survivors
The Survivors Oasis is a 501c3 non-profit organization that develops interactive healing programs of creativity and self-expression to complement traditional counseling and therapy. Creative intervention has proven to foster powerful healing properties and sense of well-being and can be a valuable tool to help trauma survivors address the often unbearable pain in their lives. Our programs and classes include Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance Therapy, Sound Healing, Writing Therapy, and Martial Arts. The participatory programs help relieve the pain and suffering of sexual trauma and build self-esteem toward building a productive, joyful, and fulfilling life.
Why We're Needed

Art heals, and you can help.
Ways We Help
Meaningful Work. Unforgettable Experiences.

Community
Community is at the heart of everything we do.
We are proud to be actively involved in the Grapevine community-building relationships, supporting local partners, and showing up for the women and families who call this area home. We work to raise awareness, advocate for survivors, and promote meaningful change for victims, survivors, and their loved ones.
Community also lives within our programs. Through shared experiences, creative expression, and compassionate support, survivors form a powerful sisterhood. Through our programs, women can connect, feel understood, and heal alongside other survivors.
Together, both circles of community-local and survivor-strengethen our mission and create a network of hope, healing, and belonging.

Creativity
Creativity is one of the most powerful tools for healing.
We believe that art, expression, and imagination open pathways that words alone often can't. Through painting, writing, movement, and other expressive practices, women can process trauma, reconnect with themselves, and reclaim their voices and their bodies. Creativity offers a safe, powerful space to explore emotions, release what's been carried, and discover new strength. It is not just art, it's a lifeline, a form of restoration, and a reminder that healing is possible.

Empowerment
Empowerment is at our core. At The Survivors Oasis, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts by encouraging women to take their power back. Abuse and trauma often leaves one feeling helpless and fearful. With the right healing tools and the chance to share their stories, we help women gain their lives back.
